The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is a racetrack located in Portimao, Algarve region, Portugal. Construction was finished in October 2008, at a cost of 195 million euros, and it was inaugurated on November 2 of that year, coinciding with the celebration of the final race of the Superbike World Championship, and since 2020 it has housed the Motorcycle World Championship.
The Portimao Circuit is approved by the International Automobile Federation and the International Motorcycle Federation for international races. The longest layout, the one used by F1, has an extension of 4.653 meters, while the motorcycling variant has 4.592 meters. The racetrack is the first completed construction of the Parkalgar complex, which includes a go-kart track, a technology park, a 5-star hotel, luxury apartments and a sports complex.
