DUNLOP TIRE TECHNOLOGIES
JOINTLESS TREAD (JLT)
Jointless Tread (JLT) stripping technology allows multiple compounds to be precisely placed on the tire for benefits in durability, wear resistance, center-to-side grip, and stability of the tire at high speeds.
MULTI-TREAD TECHNOLOGY (MT)
Thanks to years of success in international Superbike, Endurance and GP championships, a pioneering multi-compound has been developed, which has been transferred to many of our current Sportmax track and road products.
By mixing different compounds, the same tyre can offer different performance properties, for example if maximum lean angles or a straight position are adopted during a straight at maximum speed.
JOINTLESS BELT CONSTRUCTION (JLB)
All of our Sportmax street tires have been designed using a combination of computer aided design and finite element analysis technologies, as well as Jointless Belt (JLB) construction (either front or rear).
The JLB construction eliminates tread overlaps, resulting in smoother handling and a more stable contact patch with respect to the road.
NTEC
Dunlop's ingenious NTEC pressure adjustment system allows the rider to optimise the tyre by adjusting the inflation pressure. On days when the track is not wet, deflating the tyre provides predictable, firm control at the limit.
On the road, if re-inflated according to the manufacturer's pressure recommendations, the driver will be able to enjoy maximum levels of grip and performance.
