For all those who start or are going to start riding on the circuit, for all those who have already ridden but are still not very sure and for all those who ride regularly, we explain what each of the flags that we can see on the track mean. circuit in each of the events we organize.
As we explained in section number 22 of our RulesYou have to know and take into account the meaning of the flags on the track, especially so as not to cause accidents or get involved in one of them.
The track marshals, those boys and girls who watch over our safety at all times, have in their possession a list of colored flags. Each of them has a meaning depending on the color.
As soon as a type of action occurs, the commissioner will raise and wave the corresponding flag until everything has passed or resolved. It is very important to know the meaning of each flag, to be attentive to the marshal and pay attention to him as quickly as possible, in order to solve the problem or end the round.
FLAG COLORS AND THEIR MEANING
Red flag
Interruption of the batch. Indicates that the session has been interrupted due to a danger on the track for the other drivers. You must immediately return to the pits by reducing speed. You cannot overtake the driver in front.
Yellow flag
Danger sign. It will be agitated at the checkpoint prior to the incident, in which case you should slow down and be alert to possible danger. You can't get ahead.
Yellow flag with red stripes
It will be shown when the stewards observe that there are adhesion problems on the track due to a motorcycle leaking oil or antifreeze.
Green flag
Free track. The green flag will be displayed at the start of each session and at the posts after the incidents, indicating that the track is in perfect condition.
Checkered flag
End of batch. The checkered flag indicates the end of the session, on the next lap all the motorcycles must enter the pits.
Black flag
Obligation to enter the pits. The black flag shown on the islet to a certain pilot forces him to enter the pits due to some particular circumstance that will be communicated immediately.
BRIEFING
Attendance at the briefing is mandatory. In it we explain all the rules to follow in the circuit, including the colors of the flags. It is very important to attend this meeting, whether you are new or an expert on the track.
Each circuit has common rules for all of them, but they also have specific rules for each of them. We have to listen to those rules and we can ask our director or some of our monitors if we have any questions.
The meaning of the circling flags It is very important, but it is also important to pay attention to them, to our bike and to our teammates on the track. Most of the accidents that occur on the circuit are caused by participants who did not see or did not understand the flag on time and were involved in that accident or caused a new one.
