Today I'm not bringing you just any news. If you're one of those people who lives counting down the days until the weekend so you can slip into your riding suit, this is going to blow your mind. Get out your planners, open your calendar app, or write it down on the fridge with a permanent marker: On February 21st and 22nd we have a historic date in the Almería desert.
The reason? None other than the first motorcycle ride in the Look & Run Almería II CircuitYes, you read that right. The family is growing in Tabernas and we're ready to burn rubber on a track that promises thrills from the very first second.
A new playground in the desert
Tabernas is already a place of pilgrimage for motorcyclists from all over Europe, but with the arrival of this new track alongside the already legendary Costa de Almería Circuit, the area officially becomes the epicenter of national motorcycling.
But let's get to what we really like: the technical details. What can we expect when we cross the starting line at the Almería II Circuit?
- Total length: 4.200 meters of pure asphalt designed for enjoyment.
- Main line: 800 meters where you can squeeze the handle and see what your machine is capable of.
- Runway width: 10 constant meters that give you plenty of room to find the perfect line or attempt that overtaking maneuver you've been practicing for a while.
- Infrastructure: 10 boxes of 100 Each one. Plenty of space to be comfortable, leave the tools and discuss the play with colleagues between rounds.
The best part is that this design isn't just about pure speed; it's designed to make flowing through curves a technical and fun experience in equal measure.
The weekend of February 21st and 22nd
We didn't just want to open the doors and that's it. We want the first day the bikes run on this circuit to be a real motorsport celebration. That's why, for the weekend of 21 and 22 FebruaryWe've prepared a complete menu that you can't miss.
Free rounds
If you prefer to go at your own pace, fine-tune your bike, and simply enjoy the smell of hot tires, then open track sessions are for you. You'll have the chance to be among the very first to leave your motorcycle's mark on the circuit's asphalt. Imagine the pride of saying, "I was there on day one!"
Driving courses
Do you feel like you're lacking a little confidence when cornering? Do you want to refine your braking technique? It doesn't matter if you're just starting out in the world of track racing or if you're already a veteran looking to shave that last second off your lap time. We'll have... top-level instructors that will help you improve safely and, above all, have fun.
Why can't you miss it?
Aside from the obvious fact of riding on a new track (which is reason enough), riding in Tabernas in February is a luxury few places in the world can offer. While half of Spain is bundled up with scarves and the heating cranked up, in Almería we usually enjoy a privileged climate, ideal for the tires to warm up and for us not to freeze on the bike.
Furthermore, the atmosphere in the paddock at this time of year is special. It's a time to share opinions about the corners, to discover the ideal gear for each section, and to usher in a new era for motorcycling in the south together.
